I find meaning in the countless patterns of life, expressed through my introspective acrylic self-portraits and multimedia works that reflect my identity. My traditional drawing and surreal portraits of the past now shape this journey, particularly influenced by my neurodivergence and mental health struggles. I use sensory regulation methods in my process, captivating the senses. My struggles to articulate my experiences often lead me to express myself through animals or objects that resonate with me, alongside literal self-portraits. I translate hidden aspects of myself, allowing me to see and acknowledge what I mask.
Myth Deck is a Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate focusing on painting at the University of Montana. A recipient of the Ashley Elizabeth Pierce Scholarship, they were born and raised in Montana. Deck's work has been showcased in various Missoula galleries, including a solo exhibition titled “Is It Fun to Hold My World in Your Hands?” at the University Center Gallery. They have participated in group exhibitions and auctions, including Missoula Art Museum's 2025 Benefit Auction, the "Synergy" Allez! mural exhibit, juried art shows, and the “Queer Under The Big Sky” exhibition at Frame of Mind Gallery. Deck has also contributed to The Oval Literary Magazine and was featured in a Montana Kaimin interview. They are pursuing Minors in Art History and Criticism and Psychology.
